The Long Island-based group, Slice of Charity is organizing a fundraiser to help a Garden City father.
Shawn Swift lost his wife in a tragic car accident in January 2024.
Months later, his 3-year-old son, Hudson was diagnosed with cancer. His son is currently undergoing chemotherapy.
Next month, Slice of Charity will be hosting a fundraiser to help the Long Island veteran in his time of need.
Swift says he is grateful for the community's support during this challenging time in his life. "I think it's wonderful and it's very encouraging for me to learn about Slice of Charity and way they want to support me and Hudson," added Swift.
The fundraiser will take place from Feb. 17 through the 23 at Frantoni's Pizzeria locations in Woodbury, East Meadow and Williston Park.
