More than two dozen slaughtered animals were dumped in a parking lot at Islip Town Hall.
The animals were discovered late Wednesday night. Animal Control officials say mutilated geese, duck, deer and a squirrel were found in the lot. Officials finished cleaning up the animals around 6 a.m. Thursday.
Investigators say they currently don't have any clues as to who did it or why. Islip officials say if the culprit was trying to send a message, it wasn't received.
