A popular East End skydiving company has closed up shop.
The owner of Skydive Long Island in Calverton says it's time for him to retire.
Ray Maynard says his facility has been sold to an aerospace startup company that's developing solar-powered communications drones.
Maynard says he's proud to have had very few accidents, compared to other skydive operations in the United States.
