Skin Bar New York opens new location in Garden City; donates to victims of domestic violence
A survivor of domestic violence celebrated the opening of her latest full-service medical spa Thursday in Garden City – and helped raise money for other survivors in the process.
Jessica Bianculli, the owner and founder of Skin Bar New York, opened her first location in Huntington in 2017. She says she survived an abusive relationship at the hand of her ex-husband and has since rebuilt her life with her two daughters by her side.
The grand opening of the Garden City location on Feb. 2 is helping support The Safe Center in Bethpage – a nonprofit that provides “comprehensive and trauma-informed services for victims of interpersonal violence.”
“As long as you look good, you feel good and you do good,” said Bianculli in prepared remarks. “I know what it’s like to feel trapped in a situation you can’t get out of. Had I known The Safe Center existed it would have alleviated a lot of the problems I experienced. If we can help one person navigate their own problems, we will have achieved our goal.”
Skin Bar New York is offering 10-30% discounts off facials and spa treatments for donations to The Safe Center of up to $100.
