Singers in Old Bethpage are gearing up for the performance of a lifetime.

The FREE singers, or Family Residences and Essential Enterprises singers, are sharpening their sound for a trip to Washington, D.C. The special-needs group is planning to perform several songs, including "The World's Greatest," at the ANCOR Leadership Summit next week.

Members say they rehearse as many as three times a week, and they've only been singing together for a few months.

The summit is Sept. 19-20. The performance is scheduled for Sept. 19.
