The LIRR experienced systemwide delays Tuesday night following a service suspension.
LIRR service was temporarily suspended due to a signal problem at Jamaica Station and an unauthorized person on the tracks that was struck by a train east of Queens Village station.
The LIRR announced that service was restored into and out of Penn Station and Atlantic Terminal around 7:20 p.m., but added that riders could experience delays of up to an hour.
