Shoreham's Carter Rubin wins season 19 of ‘The Voice’

One of News 12 Long Island’s own Sounds of the Season winners from 2018 is now the winner of NBC’s “The Voice.”

One of News 12 Long Island’s own Sounds of the Season winners from 2018 is now the winner of NBC’s “The Voice.”
Shoreham 15-year-old Carter Rubin, under the guidance of coach Gwen Stefani, has won the finale of season 19.
During part one of the finale Monday night, Rubin performed Miley Cyrus’ “The Climb,” and brought Stefani to tears.
Also during the finale, the Shoreham-Wading River High School sophomore worked on an original single "Up From Here."
