Shopping craze continues as small businesses pitch holiday customers

News 12’s Logan Crawford was in and out of local shops in Commack and Huntington where they were looking to boost their sales during Small Business Saturday.
The pandemic took a major toll on businesses who are trying to claw back their lost earning through holiday sales in stores and online.
John Rizzo, the chief economist with the Long Island Association, says it’s more important than ever to support local businesses.
"It's important that they be supported both by consumers and get federal assistance to get through this pandemic,” he says.
