A driver from Shirley is facing DWI charges after a crash that seriously injured a woman.

Police say Shad Teter, of Shirley, hit a pickup truck at Carlton Avenue and Herkimer Street.

Jennifer Suydam, 27, was thrown from the truck and seriously hurt.

Teter is charged with driving while intoxicated.

Teter and the driver of the pickup truck were also injured.
