Shirley man charged with DWI after head-on crash on Montauk Highway

Police say Anthony Kaïsser was driving eastbound on Montauk Highway late Thursday night when he allegedly crossed into the westbound lanes and collided head-on with another vehicle.

A 28-year-old man from Shirley is facing DWI charges following a serious crash on Montauk Highway that left his passenger seriously injured.
Police say Anthony Kaïsser was driving eastbound on Montauk Highway late Thursday night when he allegedly crossed into the westbound lanes and collided head-on with another vehicle.
Kaïsser sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries in the crash. His passenger, whose identity has not been released, was seriously injured and transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The driver of the other vehicle also suffered non-life-threatening injuries, according to authorities.
Kaïsser was arrested at the scene and is expected to face DWI charges. The investigation is ongoing.
