Sheriff’s Addiction Treatment Program in Suffolk is expanding

Suffolk County Sheriff Errol Toulon Jr. tells News 12 that the goal for the Sheriff’s Addiction Treatment Program is to increase the female population from 20 to 40 people and the male population from 20 to 60 people.

The Sheriff’s Addiction Treatment Program at the Suffolk County Correctional Facility provides services for incarcerated men and women who struggle with addiction. The program is expanding, the sheriff exclusively told News 12.
Suffolk County Sheriff Errol Toulon Jr. tells News 12 that the goal for the Sheriff’s Addiction Treatment Program is to increase the female population from 20 to 40 people and the male population from 20 to 60 people.
Brian Goedtel, who’s incarcerated at the jail and is part of the treatment program, told News 12, “In here you actually use your brain. So you’re thinking of creative ways to solve problems and you exercise your mental as well as your physical.”
