It will soon be easier to keep track of some sex offenders on Long Island.
In January, Parents for Megan's Law will begin monitoring Nassau's 550 sex offenders to see what they're doing on websites and social media, according to Newsday.
The nonprofit will track the predators' posts and forward any leads of illegal or inappropriate behavior to police.
Megan's Law will also create a smartphone app so people can report possible violations.
