A convicted sex offender from Glen Cove was arraigned in Hempstead Thursday morning after being accused of possessing child pornography.

Ralph DeMayo was arrested Wednesday at his home on Lawrence Lane in Glen Cove.

According to the court documents, DeMayo had at least three child porn pictures on his home computer and emailed them to others. Investigators say the images show girls between the ages of 9 and 11, in lewd positions and sexual acts.

In 2008, DeMayo was convicted of having nearly 70 child porn pictures on a computer at the Glen Cove home where he lives with his parents. After that arrest, DeMayo became a registered level 1 sex offender.

Level 1 sex offenders are not required to be on the state website, but DeMayo could be found on the Parents for Megan's Law page.

DeMayo was held on $150,000 bail.
