Seven people are hospitalized Wednesday with severe injuries after a house explosion in Lake Grove.
Investigators say a leaky gas pipe caused the basement explosion, which occurred just before 11 p.m. Tuesday on Sarah Drive. The cause of the ignition is still under investigation.
Meantime, police say the home was not a legal sublet, so the seven people in the basement should not have been living there. Police have also been called to the home before for tenant and landlord issues.
