Sen. Richard Blumenthal and officials from the Federal Emergency Management Agency visited homes and businesses Friday morning to assess the damage from the devastating Aug. 18 floods.
This tour followed President Joe Biden's approval of Connecticut's disaster emergency declaration.
"We want people to have the assurance that they can repair their homes and restart their businesses because the federal government will be on their side. I have talked to my colleagues in the federal delegation, and we are absolutely united," said Blumenthal.
