Students in Selden learned a lesson from a courageous classmate who refuses to let her disability define her abilities.
Briana Clark is an award-winning wheelchair basketball player. The sixth-grader at Selden Middle School showed her classmates how she plays the game.
Clark, 13, was born with a spinal defect. She started playing basketball when she was just 5 years old.
In her spare time, Clark is training for the Paralympics. Last year, she qualified to play in the Junior League of the National Wheelchair Basketball Association. The young athlete plays with the junior team of New York Rollin' Fury as well.
