Search underway for hit-and-run driver who hit man in wheelchair

Police are looking for the hit-and-run driver who mowed down a man in wheelchair in Coram Friday.
It happened on Mount Sinai-Coram Road near Grady Lane just after 5:30 p.m.
Police say the 48-year-old victim was in the bike lane when he was hit by a gray Jeep or SUV.
The victim was thrown from his wheelchair. He suffered head and neck injuries.
