Search for Rocky Point murder suspect reaches nearly a week

The ongoing search for a suspected killer along Long Island's North Shore has residents on edge.
Those living in the Rocky Point and Shoreham areas have reported several large police presences throughout the week including mobile command centers, undercover officers and helicopters overhead.
Several times police have closed off roadways or diverted traffic for the investigation in the area of State Route 25A and William Floyd Parkway though police wouldn't confirm it was related to this investigation.
Police have accused Matthew Zoll, 23, of fatally stabbing his father, Joseph Zoll, 61, at their Rocky Point home last Saturday, Nov. 9. Police publicly named Matthew as a suspect the next day.
Investigators said Matthew is 6 feet 1 inch, 150 pounds with brown hair, brown eyes and a small scar under his left eye. The photo released of Matthew showing him with shorter hair was taken just last month, according to police.
Officials do not believe Matthew has a vehicle.
