A Seaford woman who says she was hospitalized for eight days after eating at Taco Bell is taking the fast-food chain to court.Donna Varriale says she suffered kidney failure after eating a salad containing the E. coli bacteria at a Taco Bell in Seaford. Varriale says at first she thought she had a bad virus. After being ill for seven days, Varriale checked herself into the hospital, and that?s when she heard about the E. coli outbreak in New Jersey.Varriale's lawsuit charges Taco Bell with negligence. Her attorney, Ken Mollins, says the restaurant did not warn other franchises about the potential of green onions being contaminated with the bacteria. Taco Bell has since removed green onions from all of its 5,800 restaurants. The Seaford Taco Bell was open for business Monday, but the restaurant was empty, except for employees.
