Parents and teachers continue to demand the shutdown of a Bellport school after traces of cancer causing chemicals were found in the air.
People turned out last night to see if the Frank P. Long Intermediate School will be closed.
Officials say traces of benzene and other chemicals have been found in the air in the school right next to the town landfill.
The board meets next month to review more test results but it's not clear when a final decision will be made.
