A Sayville boy is spending his summer recovering from an accident at a Brooklyn Cyclones game that left him with a fractured skull.

Susan Keane says her son, Aidan, was hit in the back of the head by a ball from the bullpen. When he regained consciousness, she says he couldn't see for 45 minutes.

Keane says Aidan is doing well, but many of the family's summer plans had to be canceled to ensure that he does not sustain any further injuries.

The family's July 3 tickets show a disclaimer that says ticket holders assume risk for all dangers at the ballpark. Keane says the park needs to put up higher fencing and netting in order to address the issue of balls flying out of the visitor's bullpen.

A spokesperson for the team says there are 10-foot fences protecting fans and adds that there hasn't been an accident like this in 13 years.

The Cylones' general manager says the team is looking into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
