Fundraising efforts to restore the fire-devastated Sag Harbor Cinema are approaching the finish line.

The historic cinema was destroyed by a fire last year.  

The Sag Harbor Partnership, a nonprofit organization seeking to buy the theater, has now raised $6.25 million of an $8 million goal.

The fundraising campaign has drawn support from icons like Billy Joey and director Martin Scorsese.
