There's a new push to protect drivers on the Southern State Parkway following another deadly accident.
Sen. John Brooks says he plans to meet with state troopers over the coming days.
Brooks is calling for additional officers to patrol the parkway. He also wants speed cameras, increased speeding fines and more signage on the parkway.
The call comes after a 75-year-old man was killed near Exit 38 Monday.
