Students from Sacred Heart Academy are putting the final touches on their rendition of "The Nutcracker."

This is the 35th year the Hempstead all-girls school has performed the ballet, and for many students it's a tradition that they say has formed unbreakable bonds.

Opening night is this Friday at 7 p.m., with shows also running on Saturday and Sunday at 2 p.m.
