The Ryder Cup starts this week – and homeowners nearby are bracing for the incoming crowds.

Nearly 300,000 attendees are expected to descend on Long Island for the biennial golf event.

Several roads near Bethpage State Park will be closed the week of the event.

Hotels like the Courtyard by Marriot in Westbury are booked for the weekend.

"We're seeing people coming in from all over. So, it's not just people attending the event – its security, its media, its government organizations," said Matthew Neugeboren, director of sales for Courtyard By Marriott Westbury.

Some homeowners who live near the golf course are taking to social media, offering up their driveways where people can pay to park, so they have a short trip to the Ryder Cup.

People are also listing their homes on Airbnb – many going for more than $1,000 per night.

More road closures and transit information can be found here.
