The Ryder Cup starts this week – and homeowners nearby are bracing for the incoming crowds.

Nearly 300,000 attendees are expected to descend on Long Island for the biennial golf event.

Road closures are already taking effect.

Round Swamp Road is closed until 6 p.m. Sunday from Winding Road to Quaker Meeting House Road.
