Runners hit the pavement Thursday for the 46th annual Garden City turkey trot. They were encouraged to help out fellow runner Mike Kenny who is battling brain cancer.

Prior to the trot, there was an online fundraiser selling hats. Kenny's wife said her goal was to sell 50. They sold more than 800.
