Nassau County police are searching for six masked gunmen who tied up a Roosevelt father and son and ransacked their home.
The incident occurred on Beechwood Avenue around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Police say a 22-year-old victim was in his backyard shed when an armed man walked up and ordered him into the house. Inside, police say five other men with guns had the man's 51-year-old father tied up and lying on the kitchen floor.
The men allegedly demanded cash and put the victims in a basement closet. They stole an iPhone, a debit card and jewelry before fleeing.
Police say the two victims were able to untie themselves, get out of the closet and call 911. They were not hurt.
Anyone with information is asked to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
