For commuters who take the Long Island Rail Road out of Ronkonkoma, finding a parking spot may not be easy.
Beginning Monday, the parking lot on the northeast side of the tracks will be closed for renovation. Commuters can still park in the parking lot on the south side, on the street or in a nearby garage.
Commuters say the parking lot has been in poor condition, with crater-like potholes, for 10-12 years. Many say they are glad to see the work getting under way.
The work is scheduled be finished in December with about 300 new paved parking spaces.
