Rockland Community College announced a new expedited EMT training course to help alleviate the current shortage of staff.
The three-month class has room for 18 students.
Montefiore Nyack CEO Mark Geller says of the shortage is impacting community care. "This program is amazing because it's going to help us help ourselves," says Geller.
People who are under-employed or unemployed may be eligible to take the course tuition-free.
