New Canaan is a restaurant destination in Connecticut known for its walkability.

New Canaan Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Laura Budd says the town has really become one of the most walkable towns in Connecticut.

"You can grab a cup of coffee and walk up and down the street. People feel welcome here and they come in, and it's a very dog-friendly community," Budd says.

Budd says New Canaan has really become a restaurant destination.

"We have all levels of dining. From grab-and-go pizza and chicken nuggets too very high-end dining at Elm or Solei or Cava and Farmer's Table. We also have terrific cafés," Budd says.
