? A Riverhead High School art teacher was killed while flying in an upstate air show over the weekend.
Vinny Nasta, an experienced acrobatic flyer, died during the show Sunday in Rhinebeck. Investigators say he was in the middle of a stunt when he lost control of his plane.
Nasta's loss has devastated students and faculty at Riverhead High School.
"I just can't believe it, it's going to be really different without him around," says Riverhead High School junior Gregory Griffin.
"Through all my years of life I have known no man that was as good for humanity as him," says teacher David McKillop. "He had so many God-given talents."
Students say Nasta often went above and beyond the requirements of his job as an art and computer graphics teacher. They say he helped them with their college applications and even hand-delivered their portfolios to schools of interest.
In addition to stunt flying, Nasta also worked as a sky-typer and flew for Angel Flight, a service that transports patients for medical treatment.
Nasta leaves behind his wife, Kathy.
