An anticipated school board meeting is set to take place Tuesday in Riverhead.
It comes as the district has dealt with recent alleged bias incidents and the superintendent's unexplained leave of absence.
In the first month of school, a mother claimed students called her racial slurs at a football game and shoved her children to ground. Swastikas were also found drawn on desks at Riverhead High School.
The district sent a letter to parents Thursday saying they had accepted the superintendent's request for a leave of absence. The same letter encouraged them to attend Tuesday's school board meeting that begins at 7 p.m.
