A Ridge man was formally charged Sunday as the driver in a high-speed car chase that killed a Farmingdale father of two.Police say 28-year-old Richard Mair is charged with driving while intoxicated and unlawfully fleeing from a police officer. Prosecutors say Mair sped off in his car Thursday afternoon after cops questioned him in connection with drug dealing. After a four-minute police chase, Mair slammed in William Calhoun's house. The 59-year-old was killed while sitting in his living room watching TV. Mair?s attorney reportedly sent a message to the Calhoun family for their tragic loss. Prosecutors also say a substance, which appears to be marijuana, was found in Mair's car. The substance is currently being tested. Mair is due back in court January 3 and is being held on $2 million bail.
