Some residents living near the newly opened TopGolf in Holtsville are teed off because they are worried about their quality of life changing.
The $25 million golf-them entertainment complex boasts high-tech driving ranges, plus bars and restaurants.
Since the facility's inception in 2019, neighbors voiced their concern about the potential for noise from outdoor speakers and high intensity from outdoor lights.
TopGolf is open until midnight on weekdays and until 1 a.m. on the weekends.
Some neighbors say they can clearly see the netting and the complex from their yards.
"We're worried about the noise, that's our main concern the noise because the hours are quite late," says neighbor Faye Ris.
Ris thinks the hours are extreme and just hopes it all works out.
TopGolf tells News 12 that it will be monitoring sound levels and will be shutting down the facility on time every night. Facility officials say they want to be good neighbors.
