The former campus of Dowling College now sits in ruins, and homeowners around the vacant land are not happy about the deteriorating conditions of the property.

Residents of the area say it is overrun by tall grass and weeds, and there are fallen trees.

They also say it has become an attractive place for vandals and graffiti, and believe people are breaking into the property.

Oakdale resident Tom Alfano said, “We want Mercury International to be a good neighbor. We want them to clean it up, maintain it, secure it, and not make it the eyesore that it is today.”
