Residents and business owners are calling for change along a deadly stretch of road in Miller Place.
Officials say the call comes after there were three separate crashes on Route 25A this past week. Officials say about a half dozen people were hurt in the crashes.
Residents and business owners are calling today for something to be done to slow down traffic in the area.
News 12 Long Island spoke to the state Department of Transportation (DOT), which said it is doing a study of the road and that it believes the big problem is drivers not paying attention.
According to the DOT, there have been 130 serious accidents with 55 injuries reported on 25A since 2008.
