Long Island residents braced for the expected snow on Sunday evening.
Frank Cosento, of County Line Hardware in Huntington Station, said that most of things he had for winter had already been put away.
The aisles that were once stocked with snow shovels and salt are now filled with fertilizer and gardening tools.
Like most people, Cosento says he wasn't expecting snow on the first day of spring.
"This time of year, people are done, they're just as anxious for spring as I am," he says.
The bulk of the snow is expected to fall overnight Sunday, which could affect the morning commute.
While many Long Islanders say they thankful for a mild winter, they say they are just ready for some warm weather.
