The man known as the "Red Light Robin Hood" is officially running against a longtime state senator in Suffolk County.
Stephen Ruth is challenging State Sen. Majority Leader John Flanagan, according to reports.
Ruth is running on the Libertarian line against the veteran Republican.
Ruth strongly opposes red light cameras in Suffolk County and has been arrested two times. Ruth is accused of tampering with the devices to prevent them from issuing tickets.
