News 12 Long Island has learned that Peapod has stopped using over a half dozen Long Island farms for local produce.
Peapod says the farms failed to follow its voluntary food handling standards, according to Newsday.
About seven out of eight Long Island farms including Wickham Fruit Farms in Cutchogue and Natural Earth Farms in Calverton were taken off the list.
The only one still in use is East End Mushroom of Cutchogue.
Peapod is now using upstate farms.
