The number of so-called "Zombie Homes" on Long Island continues to rise, according to data from Realty Trac.
The data revealed that Long Island is leading the state in abandoned foreclosed homes.
In addition, the data states there are about 4,300 abandoned homes in foreclosure in both Nassau and Suffolk counties.
Suffolk saw a 12 percent jump from the first quarter of this year and went from seventh to the fourth most zombie homes in the nation.
Nassau County went from ninth to eighth in the nation.
