Report: Drugs found inside former Suffolk top cop's prison cell
News 12 Long Island has learned drugs have reportedly been found inside the prison cell of former Suffolk Police Chief James Burke.
Sources tell Newsday, oxycodone pills were taped underneath a shelf inside Burke's personal locker.
Burke is currently serving a 46 month sentence at a Pennsylvania detention center.
Burke's attorney calls the claims "utterly false."
Burke pleaded guilty last year to beating a Smithtown man who was in police custody, then orchestrating a cover up.
