Rep. Lee Zeldin (R-Shirley) is currently the presumptive Republican nominee for New York governor in 2022.
Zeldin received 85% of the vote in a straw poll at the state's Republican Committee meeting.
Former Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino received 5% of the vote.
Andrew Giuliani, son of former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, did not garner any votes.
If Zeldin ultimately becomes the GOP nominee, he would likely face Gov. Andrew Cuomo next fall, who says he will be seeking a fourth term in office.
