Long Island Congressman Peter King is vowing to help the relief effort in Texas.
Texas officials are calling for federal disaster money to help clean up the destruction caused by the storm.
King tweeted on Saturday vowing to vote for aid for Texas after Hurricane Harvey, even though he says Ted Cruz voted against aid for New York after Sandy.
The rest of Long Island's Congressional representatives also told News 12 they side with King and will support disaster relief funding for Texas.
