Record warmth likely Sunday on Long Island; highs near 63
Record breaking heat and some winds are in store for Sunday on Long Island.
News 12 Meteorologist Meredith Garofalo says highs will be near 63 degrees, and could break a record set in 2004.
However, it is expected to be cloudy with chances of rain.
MONDAY:
Cloudy with rain showers developing into the afternoon and evening.
Isolated storms possible. Steady rain at night, ending early Tuesday.
Highs in the mid-50s. Lows around 39.
TUESDAY: Early showers, then sun and clouds. Highs around 48. Lows near 32.
WEDNESDAY:
A mix of sun and clouds with a storm system down to the south. Highs
into the upper 40s and overnight lows into the mid 30s.
