The record-setting cold and hazardous conditions left its mark on most of the nation.

A blizzard dumped about 27 inches of snow on parts of upstate New York east of Lake Ontario.

Currently, those areas are bracing for another foot of snow.

In Buffalo, winds whipped up to 40 mph.

In Washington, D.C., the reflecting pools have frozen solid.

Locally, the Island is still amid a deep freeze with temperatures not expected out of the teens until tomorrow.
