Rasal, 38, a harbor seal, showed off skills learned from the aquarium's animal training program. Rasal dove into the bottom of Pinniped Cove to pick between a Kansas City Chiefs red toy and a San Francisco 49ers gold toy.
Trainers say events like this highlight the incredible abilities of the animals.
“I think it’s something that brings the entire aquarium together and the community. It’s always cool to show off how amazing our animals are and how smart they are,” said Dylan Salamone, a senior trainer. “I think it’s another representation of their physical ability, their mental ability.”
The prediction? Rasal is betting on the Kansas City Chiefs to win next Sunday.
