The mother of rapper Nicki Minaj held a pop-up back-to-school shop for students over the weekend in Baldwin.
The event offered clothes, bags, supplies and more.
The proceeds are going to HeartShare Human Services of New York, which helps people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
"That's my passion and I feel proud to know we are encouraging the next generation in positive ways," Carol Maraj said.
The Carol Maraj Foundation helps families and individuals who are victims of domestic violence.
