Heavy rains once again flooded the streets of Lindenhurst, frustrating residents who have complained of issues for years.
"We can't park in the street. You can't park in the driveway," says Anthony Delia, of Lindenhurst. "We have to park out on the property. Cars get ruined, and you can't cross the street."
Delia says he's more than frustrated after calling the town dozens of times to complain.
"It's just out of control. It just needs to be fixed," he told News 12 Long Island.
Babylon Town officials tell News 12 that the problem is an old collapsed pipe that runs from Walnut Avenue to the canal. They say engineering plans have been approved to replace the pipe and that the work should begin within the next few weeks.
