It was a wet scene outside last night’s Billy Joel concert as fans waited in the pouring rain to get inside the Nassau Coliseum.
Some say they waited for 45 minutes or longer to get through the doors.
"We were out there for a full hour in the pouring rain with thousands of other people. Soaking wet, allowing one person through the door at a time," says Eddie Parke, of Levittown.
One Billy Joel concert goer says she got to the Coliseum more than an hour after doors were supposed to open so she didn't have to wait in line. She says she still ended up standing for more than an hour in the rain waiting to get it.
She said she would not go back to the venue.
A spokesperson for the Nassau Coliseum sent News 12 a statement, saying: "Extreme weather conditions placed additional strains on our staff and we apologize to any of our guests who were impacted. We will review and address these matters going forward."
Nassau Coliseum spokespeople also say everyone got inside in time to see Billy Joel perform.
