For the second weekend in a row, vicious lightning and wind rumbled through Long Island.
A line of showers and thunderstorms accompanied a cold front moving across the Island that produced dangerous lightning and heavy downpours.
The showers and thunderstorms are expected to subside later Saturday evening.
While the showers did not have as severe an impact as last week?s storms, the Long Island Power Authority did report a few thousand power outages.
Dry weather is predicted for Father?s Day tomorrow.
